The New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) is a Tamil Nadu government scheme designed to support first-generation entrepreneurs in starting their businesses. 

Key Features of NEEDS Scheme

✅ Loan Amount – ₹10 lakhs to ₹5 crores
✅ Subsidy – 25% of the project cost (Maximum ₹30 lakhs)
✅ Bank Loan – Covers 75% of the project cost
✅ Interest Rate – Based on bank terms
✅ Collateral-Free Loans – Covered under CGTMSE (for eligible cases)
✅ Training Provided – Mandatory Entrepreneurship Development Training

Eligibility Criteria

🔸 Age:

• 21 to 35 years – General category
• 21 to 45 years – SC/ST/BC/MBC/Differently-abled/Women

🔸 Education Qualification:

• Graduate Degree (Any Stream) required

🔸 Business Type:

• Manufacturing, Service, or Trading sector businesses are eligible

🔸 Location & Income Limit:

• Business must be located in Tamil Nadu
• No family income limit

How to Apply?

1️⃣ Prepare Your Business Plan (A detailed project report is required)
2️⃣ Visit the District Industries Centre (DIC) – Get application form & submit documents
3️⃣ Attend an Entrepreneurship Training Program (Government-mandated training)
4️⃣ Bank Loan Processing – After training, loan approval from a bank
5️⃣ Subsidy & Loan Disbursement – Once approved, subsidy & loan amount is provided
